Grandmillennial-Inspired Wedding at Kent Island Resort

Jackie and Alex’s wedding aesthetic followed a coastal, grandmillennial-inspired theme, blending simplicity with timeless elegance. The decor was breathtaking! Crisp white and green florals paired with blue-and-white chinoiserie patterns complemented the warm wood tones of The Farmstead at Kent Island Resort. The design exuded sophistication, making this wedding a true masterpiece.

Working with this couple was a dream since they trusted me to bring their refined coastal vision to life with elevated wedding invitations and day-of stationery. Read on to discover how we made it happen!

Vintage-Inspired Coastal Wedding Invitations

Jackie and Alex opted for one of my semi-custom invitation suites, choosing the elegant “Miss Louise” design. From there, we crafted a stunning invitation to announce their special day, complete with a personalized wedding website card and an exquisite envelope liner. In addition, their day-of stationery items included signage and place cards. The Miss Louise Suite is timeless, with a sophisticated, vintage-inspired calligraphy font as its centerpiece. In other words, it’s the perfect choice for a grandmillennial-inspired wedding!

I added a custom-designed watercolor wedding crest to customize the suite to the couple. The crest featured two majestic blue herons—icons of the Eastern Shore—surrounded by delicate white roses, peonies, and lush greenery. I also incorporated a vintage map of the Chesapeake Bay on the envelope liner as a nod to the couple’s love of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Eastern Shore Wedding at Kent Island Resort

This wedding was at Kent Island Resort, a historic property nestled along a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. The venue blends classic country house charm with contemporary sophistication. It also offers breathtaking water views! Jackie and Alex chose the property’s Farmstead venue, a rustic yet elegant barn-inspired space with views of Cox Creek. With blue herons dotting the landscape and centuries-old charm, Kent Island Resort proved the ideal backdrop for this coastal celebration.

This Eastern Shore wedding venue’s blend of natural beauty and refined aesthetics would complement any style of event. I would love to design more invitations for weddings hosted there! Contact me to start collaborating on your semi-custom or custom wedding invitation suite.
