The Darling Details Company outdid themselves in planning and designing this Bridgerton-inspired editorial-styled shoot! I was honored to join a team of DMV vendors to bring their vision to life at Swann House. This Washington, D.C. bed and breakfast venue is full of historic charm and made the perfect spot to create this vintage-meets-modern wedding inspiration. I’m thrilled to share some of the gorgeous highlights shot by Lily Morgan Photography!
This shoot pulled vintage and Regency-inspired elements from Netflix’s popular Bridgerton show but with a modern twist. We centered the details around a warm pastel color palette with pops of peach, pink, and yellow, while sprigs of greenery added depth. I had the pleasure of designing the invitations and menus! The invitation suite featured our signature Watercolor Wildflower design available to shop in our Zazzle store. I love the timelessness of this suite, with softly colored floral details suited to spring, summer, or fall weddings.
Meanwhile, the custom-designed menus embraced the bold, colorful shades seen throughout the costumes and sets of Bridgerton. The menu’s floral border incorporated bright shades of blue and pink warmed by pops of orange and yellow. Lavender accents, complete with a silk ribbon, rounded out the rich color palette.
The floral arrangements, designed by The Darling Details Company, utilized a similar palette to ensure every detail felt cohesive. Our beautiful bride carried a loosely structured arrangement filled with peach ranunculus and alstroemeria, soft pink sweet peas, and white lisianthus. The blushing blooms evoked Bridgerton‘s sweeping romantic storylines and coordinated with the floral illustrations on the invitations and stationery!
The Darling Details Company found a one-of-a-kind location to host this styled shoot in Swann House! A remodeled 1883 mansion houses the boutique hotel in the city’s prestigious Dupont Circle. While it was the ideal spot for a styled shoot, I can also envision intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners in this space. The 19th-century craftsmanship paired with modern furnishings and colorful decor make for a beautiful, quirky location in the heart of D.C. While there, I fell in love with the building’s original features, especially the elaborately carved fireplaces and plaster moldings.
I love participating in styled shoots because they’re the perfect opportunity to embrace our identity as creatives. Designing for a theme is so fun, as is getting to meet and collaborate with fellow DMV wedding vendors. I’m always amazed by everyone’s talent! I’m grateful to The Darling Details Company for their invitation to participate in this special day.
