The Semi Custom Process

01/ submit a request

Begin by scheduling a consultation with us. During this session, we’ll explore which of our six Semi-Custom suites best suits your unique style. Each suite offers customization options, including printing methods, paper types, fonts, wedding crests, and embellishments. Refer to our Collection Guide for a full range of options. We’ll gather all the necessary details, walk you through the available customizations, and answer any questions you may have

02/ review your proposal

Following your consultation, we’ll send you a personalized proposal outlining the discussed details. Once you approve the proposal, you’ll be invited to sign a contract and submit your deposit to begin the process.

03/ design & revisions

Here’s where the magic begins! With your wedding details and vision in hand, I’ll create a suite tailored to your wedding’s color palette and style. We’ll go through multiple rounds of revisions to make sure everything is perfect.

04/ Production & delivery

Once you’ve approved your designs and are thrilled with your suite, we’ll begin production. Printing typically takes 3-6 weeks, depending on the specific elements of your suite.

Frequently Asked Questions

What all can be customized for my wedding stationery? +

So much! While the overall design of the suite (general layout) is set, you can choose from a variety of elements to reflect your wedding style. This includes: the color palette, fonts, wording, paper type (cardstock or handmade), printing method (digital or letterpress), envelope color and wedding crest. You also have the choice of adding additional embellishments to customize even more. For an additional cost, you can add guest addressing, envelope liners, wax seals and ribbon selections. Essentially the design of the suite is set, but so many elements can be customized for your wedding aesthetic!

What is the difference between Custom and Semi-Custom? +

Semi-Custom invitations start with an existing design, where we personalize details like color, paper, and embellishments. Custom invitations are completely original. With custom, we start from scratch—choosing fonts, layouts, and unique design elements tailored to your vision. Additionally, custom clients can add exclusive options such as calligraphy addressing (I work with a fabulous calligrapher!), embossing, die-cut cards (custom shapes), venue illustrations, and custom handmade paper colors.

Can digital print be done on handmade paper? +

No, I only offer letterpress on handmade paper. Digital printing on handmade is only slightly less expensive than letterpress, so opting for the premium finishes makes the most sense when choosing this luxurious paper.

Will you help with invitation wording? +

Absolutely! I’m here to assist with all things stationery, including wording. If you need guidance on phrasing for your invitations, I’ll provide suggestions and ensure everything is perfectly suited for your wedding.

Can I add on other embellishments? +

Yes, of course! Embellishments can truly elevate your suite. For an additional cost, you can add guest addressing, envelope liners, wax seals and ribbon selections. If you have specific embellishments in mind, let me know in your quote request form, and we’ll make it happen!

What is the investment for a suite from the semi-custom collection? +

The investment varies based on your quantity, printing methods, paper type, and added embellishments. On average, couples invest $950 to $3,500 for 100 semi-custom invitation suites. This range ensures your invitations are as unique and special as your wedding day.
