Wedding Day-Of Stationery

There’s a variety of wedding day-of stationery that you can use to carry your theme all the way from your invitations.

Ceremony Programs

Ceremony programs let your guests know the order of the ceremony events, the wedding party, musical selections, religious passages, and any other information you’d like them to know. These can also outline any readings. Ceremony programs just give guests a glimpse into what they can expect during the ceremony. We recommend having at least one program per couple so they can share them. Another option is one per guest if you want one on every seat.

Escort Cards or Seating Chart

You’ll need to think about escort cards or a seating chart when ordering your wedding day-of stationery. You’ll need one of these if you’re assigning guests to specific seats or tables. These include the guest’s name and table number and are typically placed near the entryway of the reception on a table or easel. This is such a fun design element of a wedding, and you can really have a lot of fun creating a unique display!

Place Cards

If you’ve decided to assign specific seats, place cards help your guests find their seats once they’ve located their table. If you have a plated dinner, make sure to include the guest’s meal preference on the top righthand corner of the place card. This can be something simple like an outline of a cow for beef, chicken for chicken, vegetable for vegetarian, or whatever meals you’ve chosen. This will make it easier for the catering staff to serve the dinner.

Table Number

This wedding day-of stationery is essential. Guests need a clearly labeled table number to find their seats! You can either have your table number stationery sit out or get a nice frame to put them in.

Menus

Having a wedding menu means your guests understand what type of dinner you’re having (plated sit-down, buffet, food stations, etc.) You can put a menu on every guest’s seat or place a menu on each table by the table number.

Signage

This includes things like welcome signs, bar signs, and any other signage you need for your big day. This is especially important if you have a large venue or are using both an indoor and outdoor space. You don’t want your guests getting lost! Signage helps them navigate the venue and find all of the important things. Bar signs are also a great touch if you have signature cocktails and drinks.

Fun Items for Guests

This can include things like cups and koozies. You can get a fun and custom design to put on favors. Another great thing you can get is napkins and coasters. It’s always fun to put your monogram and your wedding date on things.

Thank You Notes

While not strictly wedding day-of stationery, it is important to order thank you cards along with all of your other stationery. Let your guests know how much you appreciated spending your big day with them as well as their gift. When ordering, count the number of couples or households at the wedding rather than individuals. Then, add another 25% to account for errors and unexpected gifts. You’ll want to order these earlier, so you can send out your thank you cards within three months of the wedding day. If you receive a gift before your wedding day, you can send out a thank you note then as well.
